Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

Materials Used: 140lb. Watercolor paper, polymer medium, acrylics, stained tissue paper, painted newsprint, sanded National Geographic, altered with gesso brown lunch bags and acrylic glazing, wax pastel crayons, sealed with a layer of UV satin varnished.
Meaning behind the art: At the beginning of the week I took a walk in the woods and had my camera phone. I pulled it out and took a picture every time I saw something that attracted me. When I came home I compiled the photos on one sheet of computer paper and hung in my studio�For the rest of the week as I came up there I saw the images and would get excited and thinking about how and what I wanted to emulate from natures and bring to the surface of the watercolor paper and tack down. I saw a rich yellow and dark brown to black bark and tall grass...
Bio Laura Lein-Svencner was raised in Downers Grove IL not far from her grandfather’s farm and resides now Darien Illinois for the past 30 years. She’s continued with her personal studies in drawing, printmaking, sculpture, papermaking and collage. Seeking inspiration from one artist to another, Laura has pursued her love of paper; this steady pace of exploration has led her to become a member of many local and international collage groups. She also co-founded the Midwest Collage Society which exhibits throughout the Midwest region. Her works has won many awards and most recently the 27th Annual Juried Exhibit with the National Collage Society.
